What are Positive Affirmations?
Positive affirmations are positive phrases or statements used to challenge negative or unhelpful thoughts. Daily affirmations are simple, positive statements declaring specific goals in their completed states. Although simple, these empowering mantras have profound effects on the conscious and unconscious mind.
The concept is that these positive phrases are absorbed and accepted by the subconscious mind and over time positive changes associated with how we view ourselves and the world takes place.
Practicing positive affirmations is simple and all you need to do is pick a phrase and repeat it to yourself, either out loud or in your head.
You may choose to use positive affirmations to motivate yourself, encourage positive changes in your life or boost your self esteem. If you often find yourself getting caught up in negative self-talk, positive affirmations can be used to combat these often-subconscious patterns and replace them with more adaptive narratives (positivepsycology.com).
Positive affirmations require regular practice if you want to make lasting, long-term changes to the ways that you think and feel.

The affirmations will take 5-10 minutes to complete and we recommend that you record them and play back to yourself alongside your morning tea or coffee. You can even say these out loud to yourself in front of a mirror.
