Science has begun to investigate and support traditional claims that turmeric contains compounds with medicinal properties.  These compounds are known as curcuminoids. The most important one is curcumin.

Curcumin is the main active ingredient in turmeric and has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is a very strong antioxidant. 

What turmeric good for is a host of benefits to the body. Turmeric possesses the potential to improve heart health, prevent against Alzheimer’s and cancers, positively support symptoms of PMS and may also help improve symptoms of depression and arthritis.

Selenium: Selenium is an essential trace mineral, meaning it must be obtained through the diet or through selenium supplementation. Selenium is only needed in small amounts but plays a major role in important processes within the body, inclusive of metabolism and thyroid function.

Vitamin A:  Also known as retinol, vitamin A is a powerful antioxidant that improves skin health, restores the immune system, and is good for vision, particularly dim light.
